The Mapfluence basemap is created by compositing individual layers (labels and features types) on the fly. This 'map sandwich' provides increased flexibility in developing applications where the intent is to highlight data (eg, demographics, custom areas, points) on a map. This demo highlights layers visibile at different zoom levels with user control.
